Man injured in accidental firing at jewellery shop in Noida

A 35-year-old doorman at a jewellery shop was injured today after being hit by a bullet accidentally fired by a security guard at the gate, police said.

The guard Jai Dev, a resident of Eta area was on duty at the gate along with doorman Ajay Pal at PC Jewellers shop in Sector 18. As Jai loaded his double-barrel gun it accidentally got fired and the bullet hit Ajay, police said.

Ajay, a resident of Mainpuri, was rushed to a nearby hospital and his condition was stated to be stable by late evening.
