Man shoots sister over family dispute

Sanju shot his sister Kusumlata yesterday on the suspicion that she was sending his wife, who also works in the paramilitary force, to please senior officers, police said today.

The accused, who belongs to Farrukhabad district, had a heated argument with his sister after which he fired from a country-made pistol, police said, adding that he was caught by neighbours immediately after the shooting.

The injured was transferred to a hospital in Agra in a serious condition.
