One person was shot dead
by three motorcycle-borne miscreants at Dhansoi Bazaar area of Bihar's Buxar district today, police said.
The deceased has been identified as Surendra Prasad Singh (46), they said, adding that the murder was a fall out of old enmity.
"Criminals shot the middle-aged man and he died on the spot, Shahabad Range DIG Uma Shankar Sudhanshu said.
Locals blocked the Buxar-Dinara road in protest of the murder, the DIG said, adding that the blockade was withdrawn after police assured them of probing into the incident.
Police have launched a manhunt for three persons who have been named in the FIR lodged in this connection, Sudhanshu said.
The dead body has been sent for postmortem, he added.
