Man suspected to be associated with naxals arrested in UP

A 30-year-old man from Chhatisgarh, suspected to be involved in naxal activities, has been arrested from Gopiganj area here, police said today.

Pintu was arrested yesterday from his hut. A number of equipment used to prepared illicit arms were also recovered from the spot, they said.

He used to sell weapons in Sonebhadra and Chandauli district, police said, adding he might be involved in naxal activities.

The police is probing the matter.
