Manipur Guv congratulates state's football team

Manipur Governor Najma Heptulla has congratulated the state's senior women's team for winning the 22nd National Football Championship for a record 18th time defeating Railways in the final.

The women's team defeated the Railways by 3-1 at the final of the prestigious football championship held at Jallandar in Punjab yesterday.

The governor said "the state has huge potentiality in sports, particularly in the field of football, boxing and archery amongst others.
