Mark Owen bags role in children flick

Take That star Mark Owen has bagged a role in a festive family film.

The 41-year-old singer will play a Christmas elf in the film but he is still not sure when he will begin working on the project, reported Sun online.

"I don't know if I am even really meant to say, but I might be one of Santa's helpers in a film for Christmas. I think I am going to be one of the people who clean out the reindeers," he said.

Owen landed the role after agreeing to write a song for the film's soundtrack in return for a part.
 

"I should be writing a song for it. What happened is, I said I'd write a song for it if I could be in it, so they got me a little voice part. It'll be brilliant for my kids, that's what it's for," he added.
