Master Plan for mountain town near Jubbarhatti in 2 wks:HP Min

A master plan for setting up a mountain town in Jubbarhatti near Shimla airport would be in place within two weeks and a special purpose vehicle will be set up within a month, Himachal Pradesh minister Sudhir Sharma said.

This was decided at a meeting between Himachal Pradesh Housing and Urban Development Authority (HIMUDA) and Singapore Cooperation Enterprise (SCE), the executing agency selected by Singapore government here.

During the deliberations for execution of the proposed project of mountain town, it was decided to speed up its execution and the plan of the proposed town has been finalised.

Sharma, the state's urban development minister who presided over the meeting today, said a special purpose vehicle (SPV) will be formed for the purpose within a month which will constitute five board members, with one member from HIMUDA and four from SCE.
 

He said that the master plan will be finalised within two weeks and an agreement between Himachal Pradesh and Singapore governments will be signed within this month.

The Himachal Pradesh government proposes to set up a township near Shimla airport which is about 25 km away from the state capital headquarters.
