Meghalaya government effects reshuffle in police department

In a reshuffle, some police officers of the rank of superintendent of police (SP) in Meghalaya were transferred, officials said today.

The home department issued the transfer orders yesterday on the basis of recommendations of the state civil services board, the officials said.

According to the home department's notification, East Khasi Hills district SP (City) Spill Thamar was transferred to Ri-Bhoi district and Stephan Rynjah, the commandant of a special force called SF-10, will be posted in East Khasi Hills district.

The SP if Ri-Bhoi district Ramesh Singh will be posted as the commandant of 3rd Meghalaya Police (MLP) Battalion and S Nongtynger will be the new SP of East Jaintia Hills district, the notification said.

 

The SP of North Garo Hills district Dalton P Marak has also been transferred, it said.
