Meininger Hotels, a part of Cox & Kings, today signed agreement with HGHI Holding for a 243-key new hotel in Berlin.
The Meininger Hotel Berlin Tiergarten, located in the Schultheiss Quartier in Moabit district, will have 243 rooms. It will be the sixth Meininger hotel in Berlin, Cox & Kings director Peter Kerkar said in a release.
The company said the hotel will be part of mixed-use development plan consisting of around 120 retail shops and offices and a shopping and service centre, and is located on the premises of the former Schultheiss Brewery.
Meininger currently operates 16 hotels in Europe, with a total of 7,025 beds in 10 European cities.
