Lok Sabha Speaker Meira Kumar today visited those injured in a group clash on Independence day and sought stringent punishment for guilty.
Sasaram is her Lok Sabha constituency.
A Dalit man was shot dead and some others left wounded in a group clash in a village in Baddi area in Bihar's Rohtas district following a dispute over the venue of the national tricolour hoisting on August 15.

In the clash rival group fatally shot at Bilas Ram (40) and at least 44 others were injured who are admitted at the district hospital.
The Speaker strongly condemned the incident and asked the state government to initiate necessary measures to check such events, sources close to her said.
She also flagged off a new Patna-Bhabua Intercity Express train here. Kumar herself travelled 45 km in the same train in a general compartment and interacted with fellow passengers.
She said the long pending demand of the locals have been fulfilled with the start of the new train.
