Mentha oil down 0.2% on profit-booking

Oil for delivery in August shed 0.15%

Mentha oil prices declined 0.17% to Rs 725 per kg in futures trading today as speculators booked profits at prevailing levels amidst sluggish demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in September declined by Rs 1.20, or 0.17%, to Rs 725 per kg in a business turnover of 25 lots.

Similarly, the oil for delivery in August shed Rs 1.10, or 0.15%, to Rs 712.50 per kg in 243 lots.

Analysts attributed the fall in mentha oil futures to profit-booking by speculators and subdued demand from consuming industries in the spot market.
