Press Trust of India New Delhi
Mentha oil prices eased by 0.17 per cent to Rs 1,018 per kg in futures trading today as speculators reduced their exposure amid tepid demand from consuming industries in the spot market.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in March fell by Rs 1.70, or 0.17 per cent, to Rs 1,018 per kg, in a business turnover of 22 lots.

Likewise, the oil for delivery in February shed 60 paise, or 0.06 per cent, to Rs 1,011 per kg in 67 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants due to sluggish demand from consuming industries in spot market against adequate stocks position, mainly led to the decline in mentha oil prices at futures trade.
