Mentha oil prices rose 0.55% to Rs 1,006.30 per kg in futures trading today amid tight supplies from producing regions.

At Multi Commodity Exchange, mentha oil for delivery in July moved up by Rs 5.50, or 0.55% to Rs 1006.30 per kg in a business turnover of 454 lots.
The oil for delivery in August contracts also traded higher by Rs 4.30, or 0.42% to Rs 1024.60 per kg in 185 lots.
Market analysts said tight supplies from producing regions, particularly, Chandausi in Uttar Pradesh, against rising demand from consuming industries mainly kept metha oil prices up in futures trade.
