Maximum temperatures today hovered around normal level in most parts of Punjab and Haryana.
Chandigarh, joint capital of Punjab and Haryana, recorded maximum at 33.5 degrees Celsius, the MeT department said.
In Haryana, Ambala recorded maximum temperature of 31.7 degrees Celsius, one degree below normal, while Hisar and Karnal registered maximum temperatures of 37.7 and 30.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.

The maximum temperature in Amritsar settled at 35.4 degrees Celsius while Ludhiana and Patiala registered maximum temperatures of 34.6 and 33.2 degrees Celsius, respectively.
Hisar recorded 5 mm of rainfall followed by Ludhiana which received 1.4 mm of rain.
The Met department has predicted light rain at isolated places in Punjab and Haryana tomorrow.
