In the absence of rain, mercury showed rising trend in Bihar today with Gaya being the hottest place at 42.3 degree celsius.
The maximum temperature in Patna was 39.4 degrees, state met office bulletin said.
It was 38.2 deg cel degrees Celsius in Bhagalpur and 39.1 degree Celsius in Purnea.
The state is expected to see partly cloudy weather tomorrow with possibility of rain, the weather office said.
