Parking lots in Delhi metro stations to remain shut on Aug 14, 15

Restrictions will be imposed from 6 am on 14th August till 2 pm on 15th August in view of the security measures

Parking lots in Delhi Metro stations will remain closed from August 14 till next day afternoon in keeping with Independence Day security measures.

The parking premises will be cleaned during the brief closure period during which the authorities have also planned an inspection drive.

"Parking facilities will not be available at Delhi Metro stations from 6 am on 14th August till 2 pm on 15th August in view of the security measures adopted on the occasion of Independence Day," an official said.

Security measures have been stepped up in the national capital ahead of Independence Day following a series of attacks in crowded places around the world.
