Security forces have arrested a militant, who was allegedly involved in the killing of the chief of Kuki National Liberation Front from Churachandpur district, a senior police officer said today.
Security forces arrested a militant identified as Ngamminlen Haokip last night at around 9 pm, after they received information about the presence of some armed militants hiding in a hut at Kinkin locality of Churachandpur district, Superintendent of Police of Churachandpur, R Balwal told PTI.
An operation was carried out "jointly by teams of state police commandos and a team of Assam Rifles", the SP said.

One pistol, one hand grenade, three live rounds and one detonator were seized from the possession of the arrested militant identified Ngaminlen Haokip, he said.
"Two people were involved in the killing of KNLF chief Tonglianlal Haokip on August 3 but the main accused Boithang Haokip is still absconding," the SP added.
