A seven-year-old girl was allegedly raped by a 55-year-old man in a village under Ubhaon police station area here this afternoon.
The incident took place when the girl was alone in her house, police said.
The accused barged into the victim's house and raped her, Superintendent of Police, Anis Ansari said, adding, he fled after the incident and warned her against telling about it to her parents.
A case has been registered in this connection and the accused has been taken into custody, the SP added.
