A 12-year-old girl, daughter of a migrant labourer from Jharkhand, was allegedly raped by a youth at Bandla near Palampur in Kangra district today.
The victim was allegedly dragged by the accused Varun (24) to a semi-constructed abandoned house, where he committed the crime, police said.
Varun, working as cook with a tent house, hails from Baijnath but was residing near Bandla for past one year.
The accused has been arrested, police said.
Meanwhile, Hamirpur police have arrested three young boys in connection with the repeated rape of a teenage girl of the district recently.
The girl was abducted while she had gone to attend a local fair at Gasota and was allegedly raped.
Inspector General of Police Mandi zone, P L Thakur said that three of the four accused involved in heinous crime had been arrested.
The victim has been medically examined in Regional Hospital Hamirpur and a case registered, Thakur said.
