Minor girl's rapist gets 10 year RI

A youth was sentenced to ten years rigorous imprisonment for raping a 12-year-old girl by a local court here today.

Additional Sessions Judge Surinder Pal Kaur sentenced 27-year-old Amar Kumar of local Basti Jodhewal and also imposed a fine of Rs 11,000 on the convict.

A case of rape was registered against Kumar in Basti Jodhewal police station in March 2011.
