Minor tension in Udaipur as youths thrash fruit vendor

Minor tension prevailed in the Fatehnagar area here after two youths of a community allegedly beat up a vegetable vendor in the city, police said.

"The accused allegedly thrashed a fruit vendor following a verbal spat with him. Local shopkeepers shut the market demanding immediate arrest of the youths," police said, adding that the accused were later arrested.

Policemen have been deployed in the area to maintain law and order, they added.
