Mobile phone, sim cards recovered from jail inmate

One mobile phone and two sim cards was found in the possession of a jail inmate during a surprise checking in the district jail, police said today.

A surprise checking was conducted in the jail yesterday and one mobile phone along with two sim cards were seized from the prisoner, identified as Deepak, they said.

A case has been registered in this connection and further investigation is underway, police added.
