Prime Minister Narendra Modi today congratulated the winners of '100 Women Achievers', an initiative launched by Women and Child Development (WCD) Ministry in collaboration with the social networking website.
"Congrats to #100Women Achievers selected by @MinistryWCD. I appreciate their accomplishment and wish them the very best in their endeavours," PM said in a tweet.
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg too appreciated the initiative for recognising women who have pushed boundaries to prove their mettle in community development.

"The #100Women Initiative recognises women leaders who are making an important difference in communities across India. We're proud to help our community shine a light on the stories of these women who are making India and all of our lives better," Zuckerberg posted on Facebook.
The ministry, in collaboration with Facebook, had conducted the '100 Women Initiative' to recognise women who are making a difference in their communities.
The initiative was launched in July 2015 wherein women were invited from across the country to submit nominations on the WCD ministry's Facebook page under 20 categories, and then voting was held for the shortlisted finalists.
President Pranab Mukherjee had held a reception for the winners at Rashtrapati Bhawan yesterday.
