A woman and her 16-year-old daughter were killed while four other members of the family were injured when their house collapsed following incessant rains in Tral area of south Kashmir's Pulwama district.
Following heavy rainfall, the house collapsed in wee hours today in Zadihar, 42 kms from here, killing 38-year-old Zarina and her daughter Bilquees, police said.
Three other members of the family were also injured in the incident and were later admitted to a hospital by the rescue teams comprising police and locals.
In Jammu, five persons were injured in two separate incidents of roof collapse in R S Pura tehsil, officials said today.
One person in Tindi Kala and four in Barihal Kajia were injured when roofs of their houses collapsed following heavy rains last evening.
