A clerk from Madhya Pradesh Housing and Infrastructure Development Board (MPHIDB) was caught by the Lokayukta Police while allegedly accepting a bribe of Rs 10,000 from a person for issuing a no objection certificate (NoC) in a housing project.
According to an official of Lokayukta Police, the clerk identified as Vinod Sen, in charge of MPHIDB Property Cell, was caught recently taking a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant at his office located on AB Road.
He said the complainant had purchased a flat in a housing project of MPHIDB at Ayodhyapuri and required a NoC for registering the documents of the same.

The clerk had Rs 20,000 bribe for issuing the NoC but the deal was later settled for Rs 10,000.
Acting on the complaint, Lokayukta Police laid a trap and caught Sen while accepting the bribe sum, he said, adding that a case was registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against him in this regard.
