MP govt to organise All India Kalidas Samaroh from October 31

The Madhya Pradesh Government will organise 'All India Kalidas Samaroh-2017' from October 31 to November 6 in Ujjain, an official said today.

"This year's 'All India Kalidas Samaroh' will be organised from October 31 to November 6," a public relations department official said.

Minister of State for Culture (Independent Charge) Surendra Patwa chaired the meeting held yesterday in this regard.

"On October 30, a day prior to the formal inauguration, a Mangal Kalash Yatra (a procession) from the banks of river Kshipra to Kalidas Academy campus would be taken out. A programme of devotional songs would also be organised on the same day," the official added.
 

The official said that during this week long fest, Kalidas, a Sanskrit play, will be showcased on the first day. Dance-drama based on 'Shastra-Dharmi' style, inspired by traditional style, will be held on November 1.

"A Hindi play based on traditional Sanskrit literature will be showcased on November 2. Programme on folk /traditional style on November 3 and vocal recital of Shastra -Dharmi style on November 4 besides classical dance presentation on November 5 will be held.

"The 'samaroh' will be concluded on November 6 with classical recital," he added.
