Mukhiya kidnapped

A mukhiya has been kidnapped by

unidentified persons from a village under Karjain police station area in Bihar's Supaul district, a police officer said today.

The incident took place late last night as Md. Yusuf, who is the mukhiya of Parmanand panchayat, was returning home on a bike when he was intercepted by a SUV from which some people got down and dragged him inside the vehicle, the Superintentendent of Police ((SP) Pankaj Raj said.

A complaint has been lodged in this connection and raids were being carried out to rescue Yusuf from clutches of his abductors.
