"Keeping in mind that mineral resources like coal and iron ore are exhaustible, we should use them in such a manner that we get maximum value addition from them, helping our economic growth," he said.
The chief minister was speaking after laying the foundation stone for an international airport in Deoghar district.
Munda expressed hope that the airport would be completed soon so that the temple town would be in the world tourism air connectivity map at the earliest.
Suggesting that Gamaria in Jamshedpur was also fit for an international airport as the Kolhan division with its over Rs 2,500 crore annual business had the potential of establishing economic link with the outside world.
"We have given the Deogarh International Airport on lease to the Airport Authority of India for 30 years to manage it and the lease will be renewed thereafter," Munda said.
Munda said early completion of the airport should be ensured as not only Deogarh has a world famous temple town but the nearby Parsanath Jain Temple in Giridih is also popular.
