A students' body of Nagaland has called on BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi and AICC vice president Rahul Gandhi seeking early solution of the vexed Naga political problem.
Naga Students Federation (NSF) president Tongpang Ozukum and assistant general secretary Christopher Ltu today said a delegation of the federation met Modi and Gandhi in Ahmedabad and New Delhi, respectively, yesterday.
The delegation complained to Gujarat Chief Minister Modi about the Centre's "step-motherly treatment" to Nagas in many aspects, especially on the Naga political issue, the two leaders said.

They said Nagas have sentimental attachment with the people of Gujarat as Mahatma Gandhi, a son of Gujarat, was the only central leader so far who understood the Nagas.
Rahul Gandhi told the delegation that the Naga political issue was complex in nature involving many stake holders and the UPA government was seriously working to resolve the issue, the two leaders said at a press conference.
During the talks with Modi and Gandhi, the delegation also raised the need for establishing technical institutions in Nagaland and more flights from Dimapur airport.
Ozukum and Ltu said they considered Modi and Gandhi as future leaders of the country and the delegation wished them luck for the coming Lok Sabha election.
