Heroin worth Rs 5 crore seized, 2 held

Two persons were arrested after one-kg heroin worth Rs 5 crore was allegedly seized from their possession today.

Rani and Arun Sharma, both residents of Amritsar, were arrested after the contraband was recovered from their car during a routine checking, Punjab police Commissioner Jatinder Singh Aulakh said.

The matter is being probed further, the official said.
