Uttar Pradesh governor Ram Naik today shot off a letter to the chief minister Akhilesh Yadav, seeking 'explanatory memorandum' on the action taken against four BSP ministers and eight other officials against whom Lokayukta had made recommendations, finding them guilty of corruption and other charges.

Referring to the special representation received from the Lokayukt in this regard, Governor has asked the chief minister to promptly make available his and chief secretary's explanatory memorandum in connection with the action taken by the government on the recommendations of the Lokayukta, a Rajbhawan release said here.

The letter states that the Lokayukta, after completing the investigations, had found these four ministers and eight other officials and employees guilty of corruption and other charges and had also made his recommendations expecting to be apprised of the action taken in three months time, which has now lapsed.

The Lokayukt had send special representations to the governor recently that he had not been informed with the action taken on his recommendations against BSP ministers Swami Prasad Maurya, Avadhpal Singh Yadav, Ramvir Upadhaya and Badshah Singh and others.
