Narayan elected president of Foreign Correspondents Club

Noted Indian journalist S Venkat Narayan, South Asia Bureau Chief of Australia's Network Seven TV channel, has been elected as the President of Foreign Correspondents Club (FCC).

Narayan had served as FCC's (South Asia) first Indian President for three successive years between 2000-02.

He started his career as a reporter with the Times of India in 1968 and later held the positions of Executive Editor and Senior Editor of India Today magazine.

58-year-old FCC is a club comprising of over 500 Indian and foreign journalists based out of South Asia working with newspapers, magazines, radio and television networks.
