Naxalite killed in encounter in Jharkhand

A Naxalite was killed and a policeman injured in an encounter between security forces and ultras at Vikrampur village in the Ghatsila sub-division of East Singhbhum district today.

SP (Rural) Shailendra Kumar Sinha said that the injured jawan was taken to Tata Main Hospital in the steel city.

The encounter took place during routine patrolling by the police.
