Nazibabad recorded the lowest temperature in Uttar Pradesh at 6 degrees Celcius as cold conditions prevailed at many places in the state.
Weather remained dry as fog occurred at several places over the state during morning hours.
According to the Met department, night temperatures fell in Allahabad and Bareilly divisions. Lowest minimum temperature was 6 degrees Celsius recorded at Nazibabad, officials said.

It was, however, markedly above normal in Faizabad and Agra divisions, appreciably above normal in Varanasi, Kanpur, Lucknow, Jhansi and Meerut divisions. The temperature was normal in Gorakhpur and Moradabad divisions.
The weather would remain dry over the state, MeT officials said, adding the moderate to dense fog would occur at many places during morning hours.
