Flaying the Jammu and Kashmir government's new recruitment policy, the state NCP unit today said it "violates the spirit" of constitutionally set bodies like PSC and would legalise back door entries.

"The announcement of the government under the garb of recruitment policy goes against the spirit and constitutional authority like Public Service Commission (PSC) and statutory body of Service Selection Boards," NCP state president Thakur Randhir Singh said during a meeting of party workers here.

He said that institutions like PSC and SSB were formed to ensure transparency, meritocracy and professionalism to recruit people on important positions.

"The contractual recruitment policy would legalise back door entries based on personal choices and favoritism of the authorities. This recruitment will fail to do justice to the deserving youth," he claimed.

The NCP said it is an issue of serious concern that the state faces unemployment where educated youth could not get jobs.

Instead of fast-tracking the recruitment policy so as to benefit the deserving youth the government has introduced a policy which would not benefit the people of the state, Singh said.
