An overspeeding cluster bus today hit the car of the Deputy Commissioner of the North Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) in north Delhi's Roop Nagar, injuring him badly, the police said.
A Civil Defence volunteer, Anil Kumar, got S R Kataria admitted to a hospital in Gulabi Bagh, they added.
After, the doctors told Kumar that Kataria's condition was serious, he got the NDMC official admitted to a hospital in Rajendra Nagar, the police said.
The official's family has been informed.
The accused bus driver fled from the spot. Police have identified him and are on the lookout.
Kataria is still not out of danger.
