Neonate male rhino calf rescued

A neonate male rhino calf was rescued in Assam's Kaziranga National Park today and handed over to the nearby Centre for Wildlife Rehabilitation and Conservation (CWRC), a Wildlife Trust of India official said today.

The newborn calf, spotted stumbling on the path of Agoratoli range of KNP, was rescued by the Kaziranga forest staff.

It was handed over to the CWRC near Kaziranga for further care, WTI Awareness for Conservation Assistant Manager Subhamoy Bhattacharjee said.
