Nepali youth arrested with detonators

A Nepali youth was arrested with six detonators and safety fuse on the Indo-Nepal border here by the SSB, officials said.

Bam Bahadur of Dang district of Nepal was arrested at Rupiyadeeh border during security check yesterday, Deputy Commandant of 7th battalion SSB, Vipin Sharma said.

Six detonators and safety fuse used in making high intensity bomb were seized from the accused, Sharma said.

Bahadur said that he worked for a firm blasting stones in Pauri district of Uttarakhand from where he had stolen the explosive materials and was taking it home in Nepal, the official said.

A joint team of LIU, local police along with the SSB are interrogating him.
