New visitor management system at city Police Commissionerate

A computerised visitor management system was inaugurated at the office of the Police Commissioner here today.

The measure is being implemented to ensure safety and security of the visiting public, a City Police press release said.

Under the Premises Management System, launched by Commissioner A K Viswanathan, details of visitors would be computerised and a pass would be provided to them with their photos and a Quick Response (QR) Code, it said.

The initiative was being implemented with technical assistance from a private firm, the release added.
