World renowned photographer Nick Ut was the main attraction at the second edition of the Kerala International Photo Fest that ended here today.

Nick Ut, who took the iconic picture of a girl fleeing from exploding napalam bombs in Vietnam in 1972, was honoured with the First International Photographer Award instituted by the Kerala Media Academy during the festival that began on March 8.

Ut, who retired from Associated Press in 2017, took part at a seminar and photo workshop organised for photographers of the state.

The Pulitzer award winner, who was in the city for the past four days, also found time to go around the city and shoot some pictures of the vendors at Palayam market and also nearby places.

When asked by a television channel where is the napalam girl (Kim Phuc), Ut she is now in Canada and a grand mother.
