Nickel futures today traded lower by 0.43 per cent to Rs 826.60 per kg, largely in tune with a weak overseas trend.

At the Multi Commodity Exchange, nickel for delivery in June weakened by Rs 3.60 paise, or 0.43 per cent, to Rs 826.60 per kg in a business turnover of 462 lots.

Similarly, the metal for delivery in July traded lower by Rs 3.30, or 0.39 per cent, to Rs 834.40 per kg in 12 lots.

Analysts said besides weak demand from alloy-makers, a weak trend in base metals overseas amid data showing US manufacturing losing traction and slower growth in China, the biggest consumer, weighed on nickel prices in futures trade here.
