In restricted activity, nickel prices went up by Rs 2 per kg at local market here today on increased demand from consuming industries.
However, other base metals continued to trade in a tight range in the absence of worthwhile activity and settled around previous levels.
Traders said increased demand from alloy-makers mainly led to the rise in nickel prices.

In the national capital, nickel (4x4) rose by Rs 2 to Rs 1,090-1,096 per kg.
