State-owned NMDC has said its iron production during April-September in the current fiscal was up 12.3 per cent to 14.44 million tonne, while sales showed 15.2 per cent growth to 15.85 million tonne.
According to a filing with bourses yesterday, the miner said the production and sales for the same period during the last fiscal stood at 12.86 million tonne and 13.76 million tonne respectively.
The statement said the iron ore production from its mines in Chhattisgarh stood at 10.05 million tons and the same was at 4.38 million tons from Karnataka mines.

Meanwhile NMDC said the prices of iron ore would remain same for the month of October.
'Lump Ore' will be available at Rs 4,600 per ton and 'Fines' will be billed at Rs 3,160, the filing said.
The NMDC scrip closed at Rs 161.60, up 0.91 per cent, on the BSE today.
