No case of beef smuggling detected: Govt

Government today said it has not detected any case of beef smuggling from India to other countries.

"No case of smuggling of beef was detected," Minister of State for Finance Jayant Sinha said in a written reply to the Lok Sabha.

Sinha was replying to a query whether the government has taken note that the smugglers are shipping thousands tonnes of beef from India to various countries.
