Noted Ganesh idol maker Vijay Khatu passed away here today after a brief illness.
He was 64.
In the trade for almost 50 years, Khatu made Ganesh idols for various famous Mandals accross the city, including the one at Ganesh Galli, called Mumbaicha Raja.
Khatu made Ganpati idols at his Parel workshop, where he worked with brother Rajan Khatu.
