O P Galhotra appointed director general of Rajasthan Police

The Rajasthan government today appointed 1985-batch IPS officer O P Galhotra as the new director general of police.

He was posted as the Additional DG of armed battalions earlier and was appointed as the DGP following Ajit Singh's retirement today.

Galhotra has served as a joint director, DIG and also as the SP in the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), inspector general (IG)-rules, IG-railways, IG-Jaipur and as a superintendent of police in Bharatpur, Jodhpur, Chittorgarh and Dholpur.
