Odisha to set up Science Park in all district headquarters

Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today made a number of announcements including the state government's decision of setting up a Science Park in all the district headquarters.

Patnaik made the announcements at the Collectors Conference here.

He said all fluoride affected villages in Nuapada district will be provided with filters. About 300 villages will be benefited, Patnaik said.

The chief minister also said that Chemotherapy facilities will be expanded to places where the incidence is more and as many as 121 Dialysis Units will be distributed to all the districts.

The government will sanction seven railway under passes for Koraput district, he said.
 

Stating that Mega Pipe Water Supply will be taken up in salinity affected areas of Bhadrak, Puri and Kendrapara districts, Patnaik said constructions Workers Pension sanctions will be decentralised to district level.

In view of the drought condition in 15 districts, Patnaik said defunct Lift points will be repaired on priority in dry spell areas.

Patnaik said Puri district will have a separate protocol wing so that administration can focus on development works.

The Corpus Fund in health which is given for KBK (Kalahandi-Bolangir-Koraput) districts is now extended for all tribal districts as well so that Specialists can be hired, the chief minister announced.
