One dead, four injured as car falls into gorge in HP's Chamba

One person was killed and four others were injured Saturday when a car they were travelling in fell into a gorge at Dadma Morh in Chamba district of Himachal Pradesh, police said.

The driver of the car (bearing registration number PB 10 FH 7500), identified as Sarbjeet Singh of Punjab's Ludhiana, was killed in the accident, Chamba Superintendent of Police Monica Bhutunguru said.

The injured, Navin (39), Rakesh Kumar (44) and Rajesh Kumar (33) of Pathankot, and Arun (24) of Kathua, were admitted to a hospital in the district.

The car was on its way to Bharmour from Chamba, the SP said, adding that a first information report (FIR) has been registered at Bharmour police station in this regard.
