One person died and his two family members were admitted to a hospital after consuming wild mushroom in Mizoram's southernmost Saiha district, police said today.
The family comprising a man, his wife and daughter had plucked wild mushroom called 'Pameihawl' from the jungle near their village Niawhtlang and cooked it yesterday.
All of them complained of stomach pain and vomiting after consuming the mushroom and were rushed to Saiha district hospital last night, police said.

The man died in the hospital early this morning and the condition of his wife was described by the doctors as critical. Their daughter was reportedly out of danger, the police added.
In an earlier incident six people were hospitalised on Wednesday at Kelkang village, about 90 km east of here after eating wild mushrooms.
