A Rajasthan resident flying in from Riyadh has been arrested for allegedly smuggling in half-a-dozen gold biscuits at the Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA) here.

The incident happened yesterday evening when a CISF team detected suspicious movements of a passenger identified as Dindayal, a resident of Sikar district in Rajasthan.

"The passenger had come in from Riyadh and he was intercepted in the parking area of IGIA by a check team. His frisking led to the recovery of six gold biscuits weighing 100grams each," a Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) spokesperson said.

He was later handed over to Customs officials for further action at their end, the spokesperson added.
